My Red Poppy Drama Timeline

This is my Red Popppy Timeline. We had to do it as part of our drama with Miss Eeles. It was very fun and I like it a lot. I can't wait to do it again.

My Red Poppy Story

The night before the battle Jim wrote a letter home. He didn’t write much just that everything was going to be alright. Then Jim and some soldiers started marching efficiently to the trenches. The were ready for battle but travelled at night so the Germans didn’t see them coming. They came with high spirits hoping for victory and a warm welcome at home. Where was home? 5:30 AM Jim sat in the trenches rifle held tight waiting for the signal. 10 minutes later the battlefield was silent. Nothing ushered  a sound not even a mouse. With 1 hour and 28 minutes left to go Jim started getting ready. Suddenly guns started blazing from the enemy raining anywhere and Jim hugged his rifle tighter like a teddy bear. Jim’s  team got the ladders ready. 3 minutes, 2, 1. They ran out weapons blazing everywhere. Jim was on the battlefield and jumped for cover by a patch of poppys when he got shot and he met Kyle and they became friends.

The Red Poppy Drama

This is my comment on our Red Poppy drama. It was about the Anzac war of World War 1 and a man Jim who was in a trench when a German named Karl came along. We had to make a freeze frame of Jim and Karl being friends and shaking hands.Today I learnt that having friends is better than war.

My review on Jason's artwork

Whose artwork do you like the most?

I like Jason’s artwork.

Why did you choose this person’s artwork?
I chose Jason's artwork because he really put his heart and soul into it and got a great result even though he had to redo it heaps of times.

What would you do next time to ensure your artwork is just as good?
Make sure I have heaps of contrasting colours that blend and make it stand out.

If you were going to give this person a rating out of ten what would you give it and why?
I would give him an eight because he really put his heart and soul into it and never gave up even though he had to redo it heaps of times.

My Andy Warhol artwork reflection

Reflecting on my Andy Warhol themed portrait

1. Are you pleased with your Andy Warhol themed portrait? why / why not?
Yes I am happy with my Andy Warhol artwork because I took my time
so I got a great end result and there are no smudges.

2. What did you find easy when you created your portrait?
I found the pencil lines with vivid the easiest because all I had to do was trace over the pencil lines and they were easy to see.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your portrait? -think about tracing round your face, outlining your face using a black marker pen, dabbing areas using the dye, dying the background.
I found dying the background hard because it was hard to avoid smudging it against my face and shirt.

4. Who / What helped you when you were creating your portrait?
My teacher Miss Paton helped me with creating my Andy Warhol themed artwork with basic steps that I could understand.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: tracing around your face, features on your face, dabbing the dye colours, colour choice, photograph, time management skills.
Next time I would choose my colours differently to make them stand out.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Andy Warhol themed art work?
dying the face and the background  frustrated me because when I coudn’t finish my background it would look patchy when I would do it again so I had to throw it in the rubbish and start again.
