What I am good at

These are the things that I am good at.

Maths Problem

This is my maths problem for today. I solved it using my knowledge of fractions.
Here is a problem for you to solve:
There are 12 kids in detention. they are 1/24 of the school. 1/4 of the kids at school have no lunch. How many kids have no lunch? And there are 84 just-in-case lunch boxes for the kids with no lunch. How many lunch boxes will be left over after the kids get one each?

Go Animate CyberSmart Smart Money

Scamming by Thomas R6 on GoAnimate

This is my Go Animate on Scamming. It shows an example of scamming and that you should delete anything saying you have won money. It could be real though! So here are some ways to know it is fake:

1. If you have not bought a lotto ticket then it is too good to be true.
2. If they ask for money ignore it.
3. Google who it says.
4. If they ask for details and you are sure they are a scammer, don't reply.

Maths Problem solving

For maths in problem solving we did a problem. Here is the problem and my solution.

Problem: You have gone to the store and bought a fox, a chicken and some corn. Now you are by the river. If you leave the corn with the chicken, the chicken will eat the corn. If you leave the chicken with the fox, the chicken's in big trouble. You have a boat but it can only take you and one other thing because if it has any more weight on board it will sink. How many trips in your boat can you make to get all three to the other side without the chicken eating the corn or the fox eating the chicken?

Solution: You take the chicken across first. This is trip 1. You come back with nothing. This is trip 2. You take the fox. This is trip 3. If you leave the chicken then it will get eaten so you take it back. This is trip 4. You take the corn across because otherwise the chicken will eat the corn. This is trip 5. You come back with nothing. This is trip 6. You take the chicken. This is trip 7. You have now taken everything!

I have done only one of the two ways of solving it. Comment on this if you figure out the other way.

Elective

This term we are doing electives. Electives are happening every Tuesday, where we do our chosen activity from 1:30 to 3:00 when we go home. My elective is riding. In riding is: Cyprus, Mya, Ofa, Paige, Oh Sen, Latham and me. We do it with Mr Johnston. We learn the basic rules of safety on the road such as: How to go around corners without flipping over, how to pass a parked car, How to avoid obstacles, how to turn and sometimes we do competitions such as who can go the fastest without going past a point as we were to imagine it was a brick wall. It is heaps of fun and I can't wait untill the next time we do electives.

Magic trick Procedural writing

This is another one of my DLOs on procedural writing. It is a simple trick that is easy to do and all you need are everyday items that you will have heaps of in your home.

Ice cream procedural writing

This is my DLO on procedural writing. I made this after we made Ice cream on Friday. If you follow these steps correctly you will be able to make your own ice cream, providing that you don't shake the bag too hard like I did and make the salt go into the ice cream.

Clauses

This is my presentation on clauses. It shows what Independent clauses and Dependent clauses are. A dependent clause is not grammatically correct even if you put a capital letter and a full stop on it. A independent clause only needs a capital letter and a full stop to be a simple sentence.
