Good afternoon, Thomas :)
I really like it that you have interviewed your brother and then posted his responses on your blog. It's great to learn more about you and your family as the programme goes along. I see that some of your extended family live in Samoa. That's really neat.
Have you gone over to Samoa to visit them? Ironically, my son Aronui and his dad, Tarewa, just went to Samoa last week. They stayed in Savai'i for 7 days and had a great time. Aronui went snorkeling and ate lots of mahi-mahi and other fresh fish. He hasn't stopped talking about his trip since he got back!
I hope that you are able to get over and visit your family soon. I try to get back to Canada once a year to visit my family but it is hard to manage because it's so far away. I'm planning to go home this year for 3 weeks, though, because my mom is turning 60. I'm really excited to see her!
Have a great evening with your family. I'll check back in tomorrow to see if you and your brothers have posted anything new. I hope that you will! I love reading your blogs :)
Cheers,
Rachel
Hi Thomas!
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday 26 January) is the final day of the Summer Learning Journey. If you're keen to earn more points and be in to win cool prizes please log onto the Summer Learning Journey site, complete any of the 14 days' worth of activities and post a blog.
I'll check back in tomorrow to see if you've posted anything new. I hope that you're able to re-join our journey before it comes to an end!
Cheers,
Rachel
Kia ora Thomas☺
The Summer Learning Journey programme has now come to an end. Thank you so much for being involved this summer!
Over the next few months I plan to review the programme. As part of the review process I am hoping to gather feedback from participants, just like you! To tell me what you think please log onto the Summer Learning Journey website and click on the ‘Feedback’ tab. It will take you to a short online form. Can you please fill it out? It should only take about 5 minutes. I’d love to hear what you think!
I will also be coming into your school in a few weeks to hand out participation certificates. I am really looking forward to seeing you then!
Thanks again for joining our Summer Learning Journey this year. I really hope that you join our holiday blogging programme again next summer.
Cheers!
Rachel
