For this activity I had to list all of the things that I would need when flying to another country, with a star beside the important objects.
Spare clothes (Winter Gear if possible since Berlin is cold)*
Money native to the country*
Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Photo from home in case you get home sick
Sunscreen (If its a hot country)
Camera
Phrase book of the native language*
Tourist guide-books
Map*

Well done on completing your packing list, you're almost ready to set off on your journey! I think you have made a good start to your packing list, especially thinking to pack things like money, phrase books, maps, and spare clothes, these will all be super helpful for your journey. Do you know what currency they use in Germany?
I like that you thought of bringing a photo from home for your journey. If you're going for a long time you will definitely miss all of your friends and family, so it's a good idea to pack something that will remind you of them :-)
There might be one more thing you will need if you're going to leave New Zealand and head to Germany... Can you think of what it might be? It's quite small, but very very important. In fact, I don't think you could leave the country without it!
