I looked around the room. Nothing seemed unusual, but then...
Jake woke up with a gasp, and scrambled out of bed towards the bathroom, before splashing his face with water. He heard his parents running up the stairs, and his father reached him first. "It's okay son, it's okay, we're here, we're here." His mother hugged him. "Did you have the dream again?" Jake nodded. His parents looked at each other. "Have you written down what you saw? You know that's what Dr. Max said to do." His father said. Jake sighed. "Not yet, I'll go do it now." His parents shared another look. "We'll leave you to it, Jake." His mother said. Jake sat down at his desk, and started writing about his constant dream that turned into a nightmare, which plagued him every night. Just as he picked up his pen, he heard a growl, but not before his arms were covered in goosebumps. "I thought Dad turned the heater on?" he thought to himself, but then he turned, and came face to face, with a real life version of what chased him every night through his dreams. The wolf. Midnight black with grey eyes, a growl started deep in its throat, and it leapt.

Summer Learning Journey Week 1, Day 5, Activity 2
For this activity I had to read the reviews of three books that are currently really popular in Canada and decide which one I would like to read the most and explain why. I chose that I would like to read Hunger Games: Catching Fire (#2) by Suzanne Collins because it is more action packed than the other two options, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth (#3) and Matilda by Roald Dahl.
Summer Learning Journey Week 1, Day 5, Activity 1
For this activity I had to think of all of the books I have read this year and recommended one of them for Curious Kiwi. I have chosen to recommend to Curious Kiwi The Hobbit written by J.R.R Tolkien, which is about Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who doesn't like adventure, who gets visited by Gandalf and some Dwarves and eventually helps them take back a Dwarven castle.
Summer Learning Journey Week 1 Day 4 Bonus Activity
For this activity I had to, using the words from the activity before this one, make a world cloud, which is where Tagul, or Wordle, use the words you input to generate a picture.

Summer Learning Journey Week 1, Day 4, Activity 1
For this activity I had to use the site AccuWeather to find out what the weather was going to be like for the capital city of the country I have chosen, which is Berlin in Germany, for five days in a row. I found out that in Berlin today and on Sunday it will be snowy, before being cloudy on Monday and rainy and snowy at the same time on Tuesday and cloudy with some sun on Wednesday.
